We have lived at 72 Courter for the past 17 years and loved everything about being in this community and in this house. First, Courter Avenue is a special street. There is a very strong community of neighbors on the block that is very welcoming. There’s even a block party every year which is a full family affair. In addition, there are so many families with children all different ages, we not only found friends and friends for our children but babysitters on the block as well! It’s conveniently located within walking distance to many different shops, Maplewood town, schools and Maplecrest Park at the end of the block. Also, there’s a Jitney stop around the corner for getting to Maplewood train station and easy access to highways and Newark Airport.

Living in this warm and cozy house has been the best. There are so many wonderful features of this house that make it truly special. The new windows on the first and second floor help keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They also help keep it quiet. The kitchen is a great size with a new dishwasher and refrigerator that has an auto fill water pitcher and a variable temperature drawer. The big back yard and deck has made it possible to entertain plenty of people outside or just enjoy a quiet and relaxing night in the sunroom. The additional space in the Maplewood room and on the third floor made it possible for all of us to spread out and do our own things. There’s also plenty of room in the basement for storage, a workroom and a hangout space as well.

This house is really well built. The French drain has kept the basement dry even during ahurricane with a broken sump pump! Of course the sump pump has since been replaced and the gutters are new. The boiler was cleaned and serviced last year and is in great condition. There’s also an ethernet cable network in the basement for easy hook up. Living in this house for so many years has been one of the best parts about being in Maplewood and I’m sure you will feel the same.
