Dogs of SOMA Calendar!!!
Thanks for all of the enthusiastic support for our idea of a Dogs of SOMA Calendar. We have decided to support the East Orange Animal Alliance with any profits from the sale of the calendar (Thank you, Lauren Kochman, for the rec!!)
We REALLY want to keep this pretty simple and we’re doing this because we all need more adorable dog photos, so please feel free to provide constructive feedback, but take it easy on us!
This is not a popularity contest. This will straight up be a subjective effort by Bonnie Leet Ramsey, me, and Shirley Park, our one other team member.
ALL of our dogs are cute and adorable and all that. We will be looking for photos that are creative and stand out in some way. We want to see your dog’s personality. We will be looking for photo quality.
Other considerations
– No people in the photo
– 1 submission per dog
– If professional photos, must have rights to publish
– Dog and owner(s) must reside in Maplewood or South Orange
We will use more than one photo per month, if that makes sense.
Possible month themes:
Jan – Winter, New Year
Feb – Valentine’s, Black History*
Mar – St. Patty’s, Women’s History*
April – Earth Day
May – Spring, Mother’s Day, AAPI*, Star Wars 
June – Summer, graduation, Father’s Day, Pride*
July – 4th of July
August – Summer
Sept – Back to school
Oct – Fall, Halloween
Nov – Native American Heritage Month*, Thanksgiving
Dec – Winter
*if there’s a way to make it meaningful
