“Bloomfield is a great town and a definite hidden gem. There’s a great sense of community here and you’re made to feel safe. We enjoy the diversity of people which leads to a lot of great places to eat and shop.”
“Bloomfield is centrally located if you are looking to go to the Jersey Shore, out West, or even to Upstate New York. New Jersey Transit has bus lines direct to NYC for public transportation. The northern and western parts of Bloomfield have wonderful neighboring towns such as Montclair, Glen Ridge and Nutley on the east where you can access the best of all worlds. Bloomfield homes tend to be more affordable than in these neighboring towns, yet just a 5 minute drive to access the services in those towns. There are main shopping areas that service all your needs including doctor offices, yet once you drive into the Brookdale/Oakview area you feel like you go to a retreat. The Oakview and Brookdale elementary schools are very well rated and the teachers are dedicated to the students. There is great participation around the neighborhoods during the holidays especially around Halloween. We have been living in Bloomfield for a little over two years and couldn’t be happier!”
