Welcome to 28 Park Terrace! This home is filled with many loving memories and joyful occasions for us, which include: our bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, birth of our first child, and many friends and family gatherings. We hope this home can be a part of important milestones for you too.
We purchased 28 Park Terrace in 2020 and did a full gut and complete interior renovation. We renovated every inch of the inside of this house, from the basement to the attic. It truly was a labor of love. It took eight long months and hundreds of thousands of dollars, but we made this house a home. We like to say our house is small but mighty! (Please see the list of improvements for what we did to this home).
Outside of the sentimental value and fond memories, we will miss the very welcoming community the house belongs to. The families on Park Terrace are friendly, caring, welcoming, and good-natured. Both of our immediate neighbors bought gifts for our baby when we brought her home. Furthermore, our neighbors have taught us small do-it-yourself projects to improve our home and they have offered help in many other ways. Honestly, we wish we could take our neighbors with us.
We will also miss this neighborhood and location. Park Terrace is just off of Main Street. Main Street gives you access to the local Whole Foods, shopping centers, restaurants/bars. Local eateries/social gathering places that we enjoy are The Oak Barrel Pub or the Zulu Bar. For a scenic and romantic experience, we recommend the Eagle Rock Reservation which has a great view of Manhattan and a wonderful restaurant called Highlawn Pavilion.
Also, this is a great area for kids. Colgate Park and Field and the West Orange community pool, Ginny Duenkel Pool, are just a few blocks away. Turtle Back Zoo, Regatta Playground, Tree Top Adventures, and Orange Reservoir are just minutes away . It is such a great area to raise a family.
Finally, the house is great for those who commute to work, especially those who work in New York City. 28 Park Terrace is located 0.4 miles (walking distance) from Mississippi Loop bus stop where the #66 DeCamp Bus with service to Port Authority/42nd Street Times Square stops and also the NJ TRANSIT #21 Bus that heads to transportation hub Newark Pennsylvania Station stops.
It was not an easy decision for us to leave this house in which we created so many memories, but we hope to give new owners the opportunity to make memories in it.
We hope that you love this home as much as we did (do).
