Dear Future Homeowners,
In the spring time as you sit in the breakfast nook looking out at the deck you may see deer slowly making their way through the various fauna. Also, you may see a group of wild turkeys that have made this community their own. Foxes are known to wander buy. And in the warmer weather there was always the hooting sound of an owl, living somewhere in the trees behind the house, greeting you with that distinctive sound in early morning
A short walk away from 16 Whitbay is the clubhouse, renovated a few years ago, with a fitness center with cardio and weight machines, and some free weights, a card room, a pool room and ample room to stage events or participate in the various activities organized by residents of Bel Air. These events include in part, food truck festivals to start the summer, yoga lessons, and even a hiking club as a trail cuts through the community linking with the South Mountain Reservation trail system not to mention a book club to keep the mind fresh and alert! Also, in recent years there is a lecture series where interesting figures are invited to share their wealth of knowledge. An actor from the Billions series on Showtime was the most recent guest speaker (and no it wasn’t the actor whom played Dollar Bill!) Additionally, behind the clubhouse an outdoor pool opens from late May to early September as well as pickleball and tennis courts for those looking to display their dexterity on the hardcourts of Bel Air. And if you like to walk the elevation changes within the community offer a great boost to those whom need to get their steps in and an opportunity to see your neighbors, many also taking a stroll. This is a neighborhood where if you like peace and quiet with access to outdoor or indoor activities living at 16 Whitbay will put you in the best location in this community.
Finally, the home itself has a two-story family room where the morning sun casts its glow throw the east facing windows and the departing sun places it’s departing rays in the west facing windows while the north facing top windows always provide the feel of nature as the tree tops are your constant outdoor view. An inviting and peaceful view to either pause before your day starts or linger and detune at day’s end. My favorite room in the home. Not that other rooms are not inviting and comfortable but the fireplace, the outdoor view, the sun coming through, etc. will take you in and settle you in a peaceful place.
16 Whitbay is a place I have been blessed to call my home for 17 years and hopefully it will be a place for you to call home for much longer!
