KenMont and KenWood Camp

Video
Description

As brother/sister sleepaway camps, KenMont for Boys and KenWood for Girls, operate as two camps under a common philosophy and shared leadership — each with equal but separate facilities on the same campgrounds. Both camps have their own staff, programs, culture and traditions and are located less than 2 hours from New York City in Kent, CT. We offer two 4-week sessions each summer, providing a complete camp experience including Special Event Days and Color War. In addition, we offer a 2-week session with the option to extend for the rest of 2nd session. Through living in a bunk with 8-10 campers and 3-4 counselors, we work with our campers in each session on developing life skills such as confidence, independence and making friendships. We pride ourselves on being a uniform camp as it creates an environment where the social pressures of what to wear are removed. In addition, our unplugged policies allow for optimal camper interaction. KenMont and KenWood Camp provides an experience for campers, family and staff that focus on physical, emotional and social accomplishments. Our team models a strong sense of character and the ability to accept challenges that help build life skills, independence and personal growth. We carry with us KenMont and KenWood’s traditions and memories as a guide to live, share and connect as part of our community.
