Wonder Why Science

Wonder Why Science is created, directed and often taught by Sarah Thornton, a progressive and highly experienced educator who has worked with Pre-K -6th grade young scientists for 20 years. Exploration, inquiry, child-centered experimentation, and engineering and design are at the heart of this program. The curiosity and playfulness of children are honored while doing science together. Studies vary each week but can include live animal observation and study, experimenting with mixtures and reactions, building marble rollercoasters and circuit design projects. Outdoor play and creating friendships are central to daily camp life.
